Default Beta 606 acceleration imer. Is the +/- value due to the sampling interval?

Measuring from the instrument cluster, my 3.2, at about 80F did 0-60 in 6.7 sec, 1/4 mi. 15.5 @90, both with an uncertainty factor of +/- .29 sec. Is this because the speed is being sampled at a .29 sec average? Can any of the other vehicle speed sources be read more often? (Haven't tried ECU yet. (Navigation was slower.)
