Default The coil itself is nearly never faulty, however the wiring to the coil is a common cause.

Especially in the early A4 8E, there have been known problems with faulty wiring. As Uwe already requested, before replacing anything the 1st thing you should do is check the instrument cluster for fault codes too, since the code you posted yet may also have different causes than the reader coil.

Default Appreciate the extra advise and info here! Thanks.

Although the circuit is typically faulty, instead of the reader coil itself, the dealerships usually replace the coil and the circuit faults gets fixed by default.
