Hello Helper,

Yesterday, I have been getting a check engine light and the transmission has been going into
High rpm from 3rd gear to 4th gaer and some time did not go to 4th gear. I connect vag-com and i found two code# 00652 - Gear monitoring 27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent. and 00526 break light swith -f . 27-00 implausible signal. My car has only 71,000 miles.How can i solve this problem. what kind of part requird for 1997 A6 Audi quattro?
any Ideas would be greatly appreciated

I was wondering if you got to the bottom of the 00652 fault code. I have the same fault with a harsh shift between 1-2 and 3-4.

Appreciate any info.

You can forget the 00526 break light swith code - it goes away when you put your foot on the brake pedal.
There are so many different reasons it seems for a 00652 code - I have the same code but a different symptom. Mine shifts fine from 1-2 but upon even attempting to shift to 3rd I get all the lights, P R D etc light up and I loose all drive completely. Turn off the car ignition and re start the car and its fine again ...... until you get to 3rd gear - Same EVERY time very replicatable and not intermittent.
