Check Sum Error
any suggestions on what maybe causing this code?
Searching seems to reveal issue with APR chip/flash. ECU is stock, as far as I know. Purchased this leased return '05 6mt in January from auction so no real history outside of dealer repair/service records.
Anyway to tell easily? Will my local APR dealer be able to scan? Tryin gto figure out options since AR is still under factory warranty until end of October and if its a bad stock ecu, I'd like to get it resolved before I make any ecu upgrades.

Also check for a faulty battery or charging system problem. Voltage can do this as well.

You mentioned it is still under warranty. Possibly the 8Yr/80K Federal Emissions or it is a certified vehicle?
I would see about the warranty before having any modifications done. I doubt a tuner would even "chip" this ECM with that fault.
