Default Express card on new laptop?

I have a question for anyone that could possibly help. I recently bought a Dell E1705 that only has an Express Card slot not the older PCMCIA slot. I have a serial port interface on my vag-com adaptor. Could I use the express card adaptors they sell now with similar results to the older PCMCIA cards? This company sells one.

http://www.siig.com/product.asp?catid=128&pid=1032</a

I don't believe RT has tested one of these. So, as gb944 suggests, give it a try. If you don't have to go out and buy one, that would be sweeter still. If you have to buy one, perhaps someone else has already tried one. Again, we've not checked these out to my knowledge.
