Default Fault Code Explanation

So I've been getting some weird misfiring at WOT during the boost spike. I hooked up the VAG and got this code:

1 DTC's Found:
17522 - O2S: B1 S2: Internal Resistance too High
35-10 - - - Intermittent

Then, while logging block 115 I got these

2 DTC's Found:
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
35-00 - -
16685 - Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected
35-00 - -

Although I was trying to get the misfiring to happen and this one actually through a CEL. Any idea what could be going on? I've tried changing plugs and that made it a LITTLE better. Think I could be losing a coil pack?

Default 33 Views and not a single reply...

god I love this forum *rolls eyes*. So I didn't get any 02 codes back yet, and playing musical coil packs seems to make it go away about 99.9% of the time so far. *shrug*

Default Not sure. Log boost and timing under WOT and show APR?

Are you sure it is random, and not a specific cylinder? You can use VAG to monitor each cylinder and log the number of misfires. Do it at idle, normal driving, and WOT.

Here is some interesting reading. Although it is the wrong car and engine, many of the concepts apply.<ul><li><a href="http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/trouble_shooting/S4_Ignition.htm">Click</a></li></ul>

Default Bad Coil Pack...

Replace them, along with new plugs to see if it gets better...
