Default Here'a a new one for Uwe/Andy. Can I disable my allroad's suspension control with VAG-COM

First of all I will mention that I am a customer with a fully registered HEX-COM interface. Next I will explain that I pulled the air suspension completely out of my 2001 allroad quattro.

I now have the problem of making the car happy without being able to control it's height. I have gotten temporary resolution by cutting slots in the mounting brackets of the suspension indicators at all 4 corners so that I can trick the sensors into thinking they are measuring correctly for a level 1 setting and just leaving the suspesion selector in level 1. The problem is that differing loads throw this out of whack and when the car attempts to correct (all the while hissing to high heaven as pressure is vented to atmosphere) it can't and the suspension warning light comes up again.

My current solution is lame as the whole system is still functioning with the exception of being hooked to air bags. It is a waste of space/weight/etc.

I tried pulling the fuse and/or relay for the suspension control module but that also produces the suspension warning light.

I would like to be able to disable the suspension stuff altogether so that I can actually pull all that unused stuff out of the car.

The warning light is really the only thing keeping me from doing all this. Is there any way I can use your fine product to eliminate this warning light?

Thanks a bunch for any ideas.

Default Tell me what you've got in...

Adaptation Channels 060 - 062 of the Instrument Cluster...?

I'd like to know the Stored Value in each of them.

Default Oh, and I forgot to mention the other big annoyance of the Suspension Light - I can't deactivate ESP

my 2001 allroad has an ESP button to deactivate ESP which is useful in some snowy conditions and also for spirited driving/track use. It is very frustrating to not be able to deactivate this electronic nanny.

Thank you for looking into this. It still amazes me that after all these years you still personally provide the support that you do.

Default Try changing channel 60

to 1025.

Then disconnect the suspension controller (you've replaced the air supsension with steel, right?)

Default I'm trying it right now. Yes, I did replace with steel coilovers.

Disconnecting the suspension controller may have side effects as headlight leveling, trailer settings, and perhaps even ESP are effected by it.
