Yes, it appears the new Hex-V2 should work with a wide range of Audis, including the newest models. Unlike the smartphone mobile wifi version (Hex-Net) you will need a PC laptop to run the software.

The V2 should work for you. I just ordered one and it will arrive tomorrow. The thing to watch though is the # of VINs (unique cars) that you buy. The cable comes with 3 & 10 options and the wireless comes with 10 & unlimited options.

I am also trying to decide between the wireless and wired options. The price is just a bit much for the wireless option IMO. Going from $199 (wired, 3 VINs) to $449 (wireless, 10 VINs) is huge. And who exactly buys the 10 VIN option anyways? Why isn't there an option for 3 VIN wireless option? At perhaps a price point of $299. I would love to purchase the wireless option but not at that price. Anyone willing to buy the 10 VIN option might as well go with the unlimited.

I'm on the verge of picking up a regular wired one.
I don't own a regular laptop but there are several refurbed ones floating around newegg that are appealing that will work. (i.e. less than $200 with 1st or 2nd gen core intel cpus, 4gb, win 7 pro). This is the route I'm looking on taking. Just need to to get the vagcom software and fart around with it to figure out how to do custom configs, etc.

Picked up a HP refurb laptop off newegg this AM - Core i3, 4 gb mem, 320gb hd, win 7 pro. Not a barn burner but it's sole purpose will be for VCDS. $168 shipped.

I have within my family a 2009 TTS and an A4, 2015 A3 and a S3. I have a HEX+CAN cable working with a Windows XP netbook. I do my own maintenance and I needed the HEX-CAN to reset the Service Reminder Indicator. This all worked great. Now I am getting a 2018 S5 and the “old” HEX+CAN wont work and I don’t like it if you replace a car you can’t delete it's VIN. The old VIN is there forever. Any body considering OBDeleven? It is a lot less up front money, no VIN limitations, and does the same job.
