On my 2009 Audi A4 Cabriolet, the tachometer and speedometer needles are lit during the daytime, but not the scales (background numbers). Sometimes the numbers are difficult to see even in daylight.

I read somewhere on this site that some of the instrument lighting can be changed in the VAG-COM settings. I rented a Ross-Tech device and looked through the available settings.

Under "Instruments," I did not see any options to control instrument lighting. I checked the other options on the Ross-Tech software too.

Is this just not available in the 2009, or am I missing something?
