i have a 99.5 tip, and have auto tranny problems could getting vag-com figure help,any opionions pl
ther are no codes coming form the tranny i have not brought it to a audi dealer (once to a independent but he had no idea)bec i do not have the kind of maney to be paying $70/hour, would i save maney as far as finding the problem by buying vag-com. or just bring it to the dealership. what can vag-com do for me, could a dealership do more yet with ther dagnostics equipment. any help would be greatly appriciated, sietske

Re: How do you know that there are no codes? Did you already scan it with VAG-COM? Auto-Scan please!
i read some where that if ther was a code al the letters on the dash would light up red, plus i brought it to a independent dealership before , the guy told me that he couldn't find anyhting, i am not sur eif he knew what he was doing, would a autoscan give me a clearer picture of what is goign on, i have seen a autoscan list before but i dont really know what it all means. thanks for the help

Not all fault codes result in the MIL and most independant shops use OBD-2, which is not very useful

thanks for the help, the guy had a import shop, i figured that he used vag-com
would it be woth my time buying my own program my brother has a laptop, so i can put it on there, the closet vag-com user to me is about an hour away.
