Default Just ordered VCDS

Just placed my order with Ross Tech. I need to do a brake pad change on my A7, and after some research found out that in order to to the rears I need the software to control the rear electric parking brake. I've been wanting to order Vag-Com for a while now, but couldn't really justify the cost until now.

I've had quite a bit of experience with HP tuners, and some OEM software used on the large diesels engines at work, so I'm looking forward to learning some new things.

Well, Successfully managed to perform the brake service over the weekend. Found a YouTube video from Rosstech that I found very helpful that described the process of running the electric motors in the rear parking brakes before and after the brake caliper removal.

Good to hear, I haven't ordered one yet, but when I have to cross this bridge I'll probably follow the same path. What setup did you get?

I went the same route when I needed rear brakes to pass inspection. I believe the dealer charge is around the $900 mark. Another (non Audi) shop said $398 but didn't know about the e-brake until I asked. All-in-all it pays for itself in this situation and more so if you choose to do some of your repairs.
