Lean at idle and misfire on cyl 2 at idle! :(

Hi,

I've got the following code:
VAG-COM Version: Release 504.1-UD

Control Module Part Number: 8P0 907 115 D
Component and/or Version: 2.0l R4/4V TFSI G00 0050
Software Coding: 0103001018070160
Work Shop Code: WSC 06314
1 Fault Found:
008583 - Bank 1; System too Lean at Idle
P2187 - 004 - No Signal/Communication - Intermittent

I've had a look at the fuel trim and they look ok. Idle around 1.3 - 2%, Partial around -3.5%
I also tried to do the carb cleaner vacuum leak test and the car did not react when I sprayed it near the boost pipes etc.

What I did however notice is a constant misfire on cyl 2 when at idle....VAG registers around 7 times (per minute I assume). When driving there are no misfires!?!?!?!? WTF?

HELP PLEASE!

Went to Audi and the main techie said he has never seen a lean at idle code Wonder why I even bothered to visit the Audi dealer!!!

year/make/model?

and if it's still under warranty, which it looks like it should be, then I'm thinking it should be up to them to fix it

My lean at idle problem can be found here:

Doesn't seem like your situation though.<ul><li><a href="http://audifans.com/pipermail/a4/2006-January/001680.html">http://audifans.com/pipermail/a4/2006-January/001680.html</a</li></ul>

Re: year/make/model?

Audi is now replacing the MAF...not sure that that will aoso fix the misfire on cylinder 2 but they say it will solve all my problems. I disagree but I guess we'll see ;)

If it is an early 1.8T (AEB) then this is probably the fault :
