level control sensor help

I had the following fault:

Address 55 -------------------------------------------------------
Controller: 4B0 907 357 B
Component: dynamische LWR D02
Coding: 00020
Shop #: WSC 02335
1 Fault Found:
00776 - Level Control System Sensor: Left Front (G78)
31-00 - Open or Short to Ground

so thought it would be the sensor, have purchased a new sensor - was having trouble unbolting the old one off so thought i would plug the new one in and clear the codes. Then ran vag com again this has however not made any difference. Any ideas?

Ian.

Re: Checked the wiring yet?

yep - took the front wheel off, and tested with a multimeter the + voltage and the - voltage going to the suspension sensor. These both seem to be ok.

I purchased a new sensor from audi a week or so ago - plugged that in (still getting error codes - so I believe the last thing it could be is the output wire from the sensor to the control module.

Using the measuring units on vag com I can seen the rear sensor is outputing approx 1.58/1.60 volts the front is outputing 0.02v.

I cant see where the wiring goes from the front wheel sensor to the control module - I dont know where the module is located on the car.

Any help anyone - thanks.
