license plate bulb out error - help?
hi all,
I've installed LED license plate bulbs with built in resistors in my 2007 A3. They function fine every now and then, but 80% of the time, I will get a bulb out error before I reach my destination, at which time the license plate bulbs turn off completely.
Here's the fault codes I'm getting:
<img src="http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb161/jkwan422/licplateerror01.jpg">
...scrolling down...
<img src="http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb161/jkwan422/licplateerror02.jpg">
Does anyone know if VAG-COM (specifically in 09-central elec.) which bits/bytes I can change to get rid of this bulb out error once and for all? I think this should be possible, I just haven't found the solution. Your assistance is GREATLY appreciated!

You could always replace the LED bulb
I use LED's in mine and got them from Tunerdomes.com. You need to make sure you get the right one, which I believe it the 2 watt version, so they don't throw that bulb out error. I included a link for you.<ul><li><a href="http://www.tunerdomes.com/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=54">Clicky</a></li></ul>

Appreciate the link Anthony. One more thing...
it would be great if I could adjust the ones I currently have using VAG-COM (since these are alerady the second different pair of LED lic plate bulbs I've tried!), but in case it doesn't work out, it's good to know there's something else out there that will work. Here's what I am using right now. They look very similar to the link you sent me:

quick question: the link you sent me, is that the price of a single bulb or for the pair? thanks!

It is sold as a single.
I'm partial to replacing the the light as opposed to eliminating the warning light, just in case another bulb goes out, i'd like to know.
I've had much success with the Tunerdomes.com lights. They are well crafed adn haven't lead to any error in my A5. I've replaced (or am in the process of replacing) virtually all interior lights with LEDs from them.
