Manual gearbox replacement, do i need coding?
Hello,
First time poster here, Thanks for having me!
I've replaced my gearbox on my Seat Exeo ST 2.0 TDI 143 hp, it's basically an Audi A4 B7. The one i had from factory had very tall gears. I've replaced it with a shorter one and ran into some trouble:
The gear suggestion on the MFD does not work anymore and neither does the cruise control. It only engages if the MFD displays either the gear i'm in or suggests to change from 5th to 6th while i'm already in 6'th.
The gearbox i bolted on is on the Exeo list from factory. There are four manual gearboxes for diesels available.
Is there any way to fix this? Some instruments coding maybe?
