Default P1136 Error, faulty MAF??

Hi folks, Ive just bought a 2001 A4 1.8T Q and the CEL has been coming on. The first time it was just a P1136 Long Term Fuel Trim Add.Fuel,Bank1 System too Lean error, I reset that one incase it was just a glitch, it came back on after 5 days with the same P1136 error and a MAF error (cant remember the code for the MAF error). I reset that one and about a week later it came back on with just the P1136 Long Term Fuel Trim Add.Fuel,Bank1 System too Lean error, not the MAF error. Is it likely this is just being caused by a faulty MAF? Even though the MAF error has only showed up once.

The MAF was just replaced twice in March, do they have a tendancy to go this quick?

The car seems to be fine but does idle at around 1100 when cold, is this normal?

Thanks for the help.

Pete.

Please post a COMPLETE VAG-COM Auto-Scan or just use the Fault Codes screen "Copy Codes" button.

A bit of a follow up here. One of the vac hoses had split, has now been replaced and so far so good.

Cheers
