I posted this in the S4 section, but didnt get much help. Hoping someone here has some ideas.

Here's the background:

Car started by having a blinking CEL at a stop then it would stay solid when driving at constant speed. I took the car to an Audi specialist and they determined that I needed to replace the timing chain. They pulled the engine, replaced the chain, then put it back together. The light was still on after this. They called Audi and consulted with them and Audi informed them of a timing solonoid that somtimes can go bad. They pulled the engine a second time, replaced the solonoid and put it all back together. They replaced all the plugs and coils at this time too. I picked up the car and about 60 miles after that the light came back on. This time it just remained solid all the time, no more flashing.

I took the car to another shop (previous shop was a long drive) They smoke tested the intake system to see if there was a vacuum leak...nothing. They replaced the MAF. I pick up the car again, another 50-60 miles and the light is back again. I drop it back off. This time they determine that one of the gaskets on the engine could have a leak, they remove that and see that the gasket from the timing chain fix was reussed and messed up. They replace the gasket, let it all sit and take the car for a 50 mile drive. They call me and tell me they think they figured it out and I can come and pick the car up. 5 miles into my drive home the light comes back on again.

The car feels great, it idles smooth, it pulls like new.

Anyone have any ideas. I'm pretty much at the end of my rope with this car.

Find someone in your local area who will scan it using VCDS. It sounds like you have a fuel trim problem or an actual vacuum leak. If you get a scan done, save it and post it here. I would also have a look at measuring block 032 before any faults are cleared.
