Problems coding Control Module 76 (Parking Aid)
2007 RS4 with VAG-COM v. 704.1
Trying to turn off the Reverse gear confirmation beep in Control Module 76. My car's coding is 0000304, seems like it should be 0000504. When I try to change the coding, the change won't stick.
Also tried to change adaptation 10 channel 05 to "0" but that won't stick either -it's stuck at 135 (if memory serves).
Any ideas? TIA.

Does the presence of a fault prevent coding changes?

OK fixed the sensor, no more faults, but the coding is really whacko
Control Module 76 will not take the correct 0000504, but will take 0000304 and 0000204.
Also, adaptation channel 05 should be "1" for Reverse beep confirmation, and "0" for No Confirmation. However, my car is 135. Through trial and error, I found that 136 turns off the Reverse beep.
What's up with my car? I posted over in the B7RS4 forum asking for another RS4's coding, but no replies.
