Remote Key Matching
Question on B7 RS4:
I cannot seem to get the memory seat matched to the key fob; i.e. mem position 1 to key 1 & mem position 2 to key 2. I followed the instructions below but it doesn't seem to work. I cannot post measuring block info at the moment but will be happy to provide any requested info later this evening when I'm with the car. Note: I successfully applied +00064 to [46] - Comfort System to get the windows to roll up and down from the key fob. Channel 021: Remote Control Matching [Select] [46 - Comfort System] [Adaptation - 10] Channel 021. [Read] Choose the memory position you want the new key be matched on by entering it's number (e.g. "3" for memory positon 3). [Test] Now press any button on the remote you want to match. The meas. block field above will change from Not Recogn. to Recognized. [Save] Thanks in advance. |
Any help with this???????????

Do the remotes you have lock and unlock the car?
If so, the memory seat thing is a completely different issue. It's not done via diagnostics. Please refer to your owner's manual.

The 2 key fobs do lock and unlock the doors.....
I must have misunderstood this.. my apologies.. I thought this would match a specific key fob to a specific seat memory...
I'll go over the manual and look this up there. Sorry... PS. Is the one touch lock/unlock for all doors supported in the B7 - I used VAG on my B5/B6 to have all doors lock/unlock at the same time but can't seem to get that to work on the B7. Any thoughts. Thanks again for the help! |
Yes, you should be able to turn off selective locking.
What's your current Comfort system coding?
