The sound is just not right in terms of the the phase, bass, etc..
I've heard issues with other B&O owners about the recoding of the amp and its drastic improvements.

Think I found a solution
I ran the output test that is in the Sound System module. After running the complete test, the sound is MUCH better. Maybe it just kicked something in during the test. Or maybe it's just serendipity.

The output test should not trigger any difference, however we have heard similar reports...
...and Audi has actually published some related TSBs. Mind posting a scan from your car? Specifically the part numbers and software version of its infotainment components are of interest.
