Default Torque (Torque Pro) OBD II phone app?

Has anyone used the Torque Pro OBD-II phone app? If so what bluetooth VAG Com adaptor did you use with it? I've looked around and also on VWVortex and it seems some of the cheaper ones are hit or miss if it works with the VAG Com.

Generally speaking Torque uses a generic OBDII reader, not necessarily something like VAG-COM.

A quick search revealed that a bluetooth OBDII reader won't work with the full version of VCDS (which requires a Ross Tech cable), and it may work with VCDS lite if you're good with drivers. But in any case Ross Tech doesn't support any bluetooth OBDII dongles.

So no, there isn't a bluetooth reader which will work for you (unless you personally can make it work).

VCDS Mobile is a project Ross-Tech is working on http://www.ross-tech.com/vcds-mobile/

Torque is a very interesting app, but as MetalMan said does not have the features of VCDS
If you have it, this interface works well
Amazon Amazon
It won't give you VCDS capability out of the box though, and might not even work with VCDS.

I have it and it works great with that interface but I've never tried it on our Audi's.

I'm using that exact BAFX adapter for my car, 1998 Audi A4, with a Nexus 7 tablet I've integrated into the dash. It all works flawlessy.

Didn't know Ross-Tech was doing anything mobile-related... that's cool!

I just want to read the codes. Too bad Ross Tech is only for PCs (Mac owner). Guess I'll wait for the mobile version or do like Metalman did.

Torque will read codes and reset MIL/CEL - did that on a Miata.

I am a Mac guy and run VCDS on it using Parallels.
Unfortunately I need Windoze for work so have an XP VM.
You can use it that way or with Boot Camp.

Ultimately VCDS Mobile will be the solution for everyone I think since it's browser based.

I would suggest you ask the manufacturer of the software.
You might also ask in the model specific forum.

This works very nicely though
