Battery BEM - I need clarification
Hi all.
I've been reading alot of articles and forums threads about this issue. Haven't gotten any smarter with all this reading and maybe someone can shed some light to my question or have some input.
So I have a 2011 Audi Q5 and the original battery is still in the vehicle. There is really nothing wrong with the battery but since I live in Norway and we get cold winters I thought I'd be safe and change it now.
The battery I am looking at is a Banner Running Bull battery with the exact same specifications as the old battery (dimensions, AH, CC, polarity and AGM).
I've been reading that people put in the same data in VCDS as the old one, just put in the same serial number with an increment by 1.
User 'sbxc' stated in this thread that the manufacture date is part of the serial and the charging system/BEM/Battery management system may behave differently if it "knows" that the battery is old.

So the big question, is that the preferred method (serial increment by 1) ?
My old battery info/data : .
BEM Code : 4F0915105E
JCB1A0817H0AS
205JCB1A8H0ASW
VAG PART NO : 4FO915105E
VARTA AGM
12V 92Ah
520 A DIN
850 A EN/SAE
