Default VCDS coding for Cruise Control '11 Q5

My '11 Q5 is the first vehicle I have owned that operates the brakes when going down hills when cruise control is on. It can be nice. However it would be nicer to have the option to turn it off at times. (To save brakes and gas. And be like cars used to be) Is anyone aware of any such coding. It would be ideal to have a toggle in the MMI. Nice dream right. At least turn it off with VCDS. Thanks.

Sorry, not aware of such a modification.

It is surprising when you top a hill it had to accelerate up and then you're thrown forward when it applies the brakes

we've had cruise controls for 20 years and they change it now ?!?

Default Any update on being able to disable cruise control operation of the brakes?

Is it still the case that no solution to turning off the automatic application of the brakes by the cruise control system exists? (I have the VAG-COM).

Incase someone is wondering why I don't like this feature: it drives me nuts on German Autobahns and can be pretty dangerous. I generally set the crusie control to 130 km/h. When overtaking someone going slightly slower than me I generally speed up a little (to say 140-150 km/h) but without turning off the cruise control - in order to move past the other car slightly faster so as not to hold up people wanting to travel much faster from behind. As soon as I'm past the other car I come off the accelerator and move off back to the right expecting the car to slow back down due to friction to the set speed and then the cruise will hold the 130km/h again. The problem with this idiotic automatic braking is that about 1-2 seconds after you come off the accelerator (whilst still in the left lane) the car applies the brakes since it thinks you want to be travelling at 130km/h! If you happen to have some one approaching from behind at 200km/h this is not exactly a safe feature...

Add me to the list of people hating this "feature".

I've experienced it on other German cars, but the Audi design is more intrusive/annoying

Has anyone had any issues with their C/C crapping out on them. Mine just stopped working with no warning on the way home yesterday. It will not engage at all.

Any suggestions, or easy DIY fixes would be greatly appreciated.

A friend with a 2013 Q5 is complaining about this "feature" and wants it turned off. Has anybody had luck with using VCDS to fix this?
