Windshiled wiper problems.
Hi all
I have a 2004 Audi A6, 1.8T C4 (I believe)
I hope somebody can help me with an issue.
The wipers gave up and I investigated and found that the motor needed replacement. Ordered new one and nothing (unless wipers going on slow intervals at full speed)
Investigated some more and discovered that the linkage mechanism was destroyed, beyond repair. Ordered new one and hoped everything should be ok.
No same problem, wipers only running on slow intervals when set to full speed.
For the fun of it I connected the old motor and to my surprise it runned as it should when the linkage mechanism was disconnected. Tried opening it and found the error. Gear was broken due to try
and run the broken linkage. Well, opened the new motor and took the gear. This shold solve all right? No..as soon as I connected the old motor with new gear, it went to the same as the new one.
Slow intervalls on full speed.
So I changed the new parts back into the new motor.
Does anybody have a clue and can help me?
P.S bought a new relay in case that was the problem, but no difference with old or new relay.
