Default WVtools VAG software

Has anyone used the 'VWtools' vag software? I hooked it up for the first time today and was able to get engine readings, but couldnâ€TMt figure out where to make the edits for the window roll up/down remote, and door locks features.

fyi, vag-com wouldnâ€TMt recognize the com port settings i was telling it, and VWtools worked, so i think Iâ€TMm sticking with it...

Default VWTool is a bit out of date -- It was last updated in 1999.

I owned a legitimate copy back them, which cost me $400. After the author died and it became clear that Baum Tools (who aquired the rights from his estate) wasn't going to update it, I decided to write VAG-COM. FWIW, I believe Baum Tools still owns the rights and download offered by site is illegal.

Really? I had no idea,

Well then maybe your the perfect person to talk to as to why I can't get VAG COM to work with my vag. I found that vw tools like after searching around for alternative software options.

FYI, my vag is a USB using COM4 port, and when I open VAG COM and select the COM4 port it reads something like 'port active, interface not found'. What did I do wrong?

I baught the cable off of a friend of mine. It's made by a company named 'Millisi VAG'.

I downloaded the newest version of VAG COM off the ross-tech website.

I know the cable works, because it worked with VWtools, so that were I stand. I really appreciate the help.

Default The newest version (504.1) will NOT work with that interface.

Please try 409.1 or 311.2 from this page:<ul><li><a href="http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/download/archives.html">http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/download/archives.html</a</li></ul>
