I am the second owner of a 1987.5 Special Build Coupe GT. My uncle bought it brand new and passed it on to me a few years back. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this car, but a growing family (and a bad knee) are forcing me to sell it. I am asking $2000, but all reasonable offers will be considered. It is 30 years old after all. The car is located in Spokane, WA.

No cracks or warping in the dash or plastic

THE GOOD: here is a partial list of parts I have put into it and work that I have done:

• fuel pump
• timing belt, water pump and idler pulley
• plugs, wires, cap and rotor
• complete radiator assembly including expansion tank
• heater core
• rebuilt and flow tested injectors
• CV shafts
• brakes (front and rear)
• wheel bearings (front and rear)
• O2 sensor
• knock sensor
• flushed and cleaned the gas tank
• rebuilt both window motors

I know there's more, but I can't remember it all. The tires are only a couple of years old and I am also including a full set of studded snow tires on rims. An aftermarket Alpine deck and an aftermarket alarm were installed a few years ago. You also get a whole box of spare parts and relays and a Bentley manual that I paid $200 for. I also have the original, perfect condition black vinyl bra that protects the bumper, grille and hood. Did I mention studded snow tires? :)

THE BAD: remember it's a 30 year old car.

1. Idle is a bit rough after it's warm, but it accelerates fine. I could never nail down the problem. I'm guessing it's a vacuum leak somewhere. The compression is good across all cylinders. I do have a spare fuel distributor and metering flap assembly that comes with it.
2. The clearcoat is flaking in a spot on the driver's fender. A shopping cart hit it 20+ years ago, and the body shop painted it with a 2-stage paint instead of the original single stage paint. The rest of the paint is slightly oxidized.
3. The driver's side seat heater does not work, but the passenger side does. It gets power to both, so I think it's a broken wire.
4. The power mirrors don't work despite installing a new switch. The fuse is fine.
5. AC needs to be converted to R-134a, so it currently does not have a belt to the AC compressor.
6. Left rear emergency brake is seized, but the right still works.

Heck yeah! I have to give a shout out to this forum. It’s helped me many times with this car. It also helps that I work at a place that makes decals, so I just had to make one.

I’d totally add this to the stable if only it was not so far smh.

Can somebody tell me why this keeps getting marked as sold??? Is there a time limit on classifieds? Seems like the owner of the car should be the only one that can mark the listing as sold, and I haven’t done that.
