I have a 1997 Cabrio for sale, I just don't have time to fix all the minor things with it and it needs to go to a new loving home. It's a highline edition, black with black top and black leather interior, 5spd, and regular 2.0L engine.
The good:
Brand new Techtonics full stainless exhaust system and obx header.
Windshield replaced.
Rear main seal and other seals and gaskets replaced.
New water pump.
New radiator.
Jetta GLI vr6 lights and radiator support.
New stock springs and kyb-2 struts all around.
Newspeed upper strut bar.
Pressurized hood lift struts.
The bad:
Top has seperated at the seam, I stitched it up once but did not use canvas thread, the thread was not UV rated and has failed. I have a spool of black canvas thread that will go with it, just no time to stitch it.
Drivers window regulator has crapped out, needs to be replaced.
Drivers side handle is failing, the lock tumblers are not staying held in.
2nd gear on the transmission is shot. It does however drive fine in all the other gears.
Clutch is on its way out because of shifting from 1st to 3rd.
Typical mk3 fender rot.
Car has been very dependable since I have owned it, again, I just don't have the time available to fix it. Located in Manchester, Connecticut.

Asking $1200 or best offer. There is over $1000 in exhaust system alone on the car.
