Have decided to move on from my B5 S4 that I have owned since 2005. It has been my daily driver and a wonderful car. It has a few modifications and a few issues as expected from a car of this age. I will say I have had no major problems with it and if I had the room I would likely keep it and go stage 3.

APR tune v5 Valet/stock/91/100
SSAC downpipes and dual exhaust with flowmaster cats
Flik Justice 18" wheels with new 225/40 Continental extreme contact all season tires <2k miles
Darintake airbox modification

Bad
Check engine light for rear O2 sensors indicating catalytic converter not getting up to temp, intermittent. I have never had problems passing smog as I just clear the codes and go get smogged a day or two later. The CEL comes back on anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks later. It will go away on its own every so often as well.

Air bag light on, also intermittent, worse in hot weather, likely a short but haven't checked it out

Rock chips on front bumper, expected for age but would look better with respray

Rear passenger side seat belt doesn't wind back in

Drivers seat with tears in leather, has cover on now

Driver seat heater doesn't work

Center display pixels out, again worse in hot weather, very common B5 problem

Slow oil leak from I believe rear main seal. i have replaced the cam tensioner a few years back and that slowed it but still drips at times

Salvage title, was told from previous owner it was from a theft recovery as had to replace interior and doors after it was stripped, but I don't have any proof of that. Doesn't appear to have been in a major accident.


Maintenance
Mobil 1 0w40 with OEM filer every 6-7k

75k miles timing belt, waterpump, accessory belt tensioner, after-run pump, valve cover gaskets, cam adjuster seals, coolant flush. Snub mount install, alignment, new tie rod ends

111k Spark plugs and coil packs

130k front brake rotors and pads
