Hi All,

Up for sale is my beloved 2007 S8 with only 58,xxx miles in Daytona Gray Pearl with silver and black interior.

No accidents, clean carfax, non smoker, clean title in hand.

For sale at $26,000. Price drop to $23,000 now. Price drop reflects the price I am willing to sell this car before selling it to my local dealer. Get it now before the dealer takes it and jacks up the price. New price is for the car without the winter wheel setup nor the AMI. The original tail lights are reinstalled (see pics). This is how this car will be sold to the dealer next week.

The reason for sale is that I have a new car that is replacing this car in my garage space (Honda S2000). While the S8 is for sale, my wife graciously gave up her garage space for this car. Although I love the luxury of the S8 and it's ridiculous power, I found driving an automatic was just not that fun. Yes, it has magnesium shift paddles, but I just miss having a clutch.

This car has been garaged it's whole life which is apparent by its crystal clear headlight lenses. The previous owner was a housewife in Fairfield CT, who garaged the car and would only use the car around town, thus the low mileage. I bought the car a year ago with around 50k miles.

This S8 is in great condition. It has been serviced regularly at Danbury Audi for which I have all the documented paperwork. All services up to the 65k mile service have regularly and already been performed.

What I've done to the car since I've acquired it:

• Updated rear tail lights ($1k) working perfectly plug and play. (not included) Original taillights are in perfect condition and reinstalled.
• AMI with iPod and USB drive adapters (not included)
• Full set of Snow tires on 18" Audi alloy wheels 245/50R-18 MICHELIN X-ICE XI3 XL with 3k miles. (Not included)
• New tires: 275/35ZR-20 SUMITOMO HTR Z III XL which now have about 3k miles
• Changed the rear trunk lid struts
• Updated MMI software to 4610
• Regular maintenance at Danbury Audi along with new rear brake pads.
  

I've had absolutely no problems with this car and it is so smooth on the highway with so much power, I never come down from 6th gear to pass other cars. Unending compliments on the cars actually make me uncomfortable especially as I'm driving by the CEO at my work. I will regret selling this as I'm sure that I will never get to drive another car with this level of luxury...double laminated windows, beautifully sounding B and O sound, soft close doors, enormous cabin space with leather everywhere, etc.

No door dings on this car as I'm a lunatic for finding the perfect parking spot that is far from others.

Negatives with this car? Nothing major. Because of known poor design, the trunk lid auto open motor is weak and so the trunk lid needs a nudge to get going. I tried changing the trunk lid struts which didn't really help. Previous owner also installed a K40 laser hammer system which I have the remote for, but never activated, so I don't know if it works (Waze works better than any jammer or detector). Small scuffs under front lip because I made a miscalculation of the height of a parking bumper once. One of the 20" wheels have a cosmetic curb rash.

• Rear climate control
• Front A8 all weather floor mats. Carpet mats are stored unused and in pristine condition.

I owned a virtually identical S8 from 2009-12 (with all-black interior) and it remains the finest car I've ever owned. I've driven the D4 S8 which I did not like nearly as much (although the D4 was admittedly more powerful). And my D3 was extremely reliable, although I sold it at 40K and never owned it out of warranty. In any event, good luck with the sale of this great car.

Yeah, not only is this a great looking car, there is no mistaking D3 as an A/S8 line with its pronounced rear end vs the smaller lines as compared to D4 generation.

Also, there is an awesome D3 section of AW that is a comprehensive library of help with many active members still contributing. That's how I updated my MMI. Luckily, the D3 S8 doesn't have many major problems which is why I initially got one.

I realized also that not everyone may be familiar with the S8 D3 and all the features on these cars:

-Valcona leather with extended leather all over the dash and doors.
-Alcantara headliner
-LED daytime running lights, xenon headlights
-Adjustable air suspension for different height/stiffness
-Headlights that turn with steering
-Extra corner lights that light up on turns with signaling
-16 way both front seats with height adjustable lumbar, extra joint for flexing upper back, extendable seat cushion to get all the way out to the back of the knees
-4 setting memory seats for both driver and front passenger seats
-Rear window electric sunshade that is controlled from the front seats and back seats
-Child lock windows and doors electrically controlled from driver window controls
-There are a ton of MMI controlled features that I don't really use, like different lighting schemes based on Navigation location. For example, if you come home at night, program the fog lights or puddle lights to be on so you can see.
-The sound system is the best I've ever heard in a car for preciseness and detail. I've never heard Glenn Gould's humming while recording his 1983 Goldberg Variations as clearly as on this system...ridiculous.

I know there are other cool features that I'm missing, but you can see this car was ahead of its time.

Oh, also, front brake rotors were replaced about 20k miles ago. Front pads have a still very thick. Rear pads were replaced a few thousand miles ago. I will update this listing with all the services when I get home and get the paperwork out.
