Ready to sell my 2002 ALMS TT 225 after 9 years. I'm looking at getting a 4Runner for more offroading in the future. I am the second owner of the car, purchased it in TX in 2005 with a rebuilt title at 48,000 miles. The reason for the rebuilt title is unknown to me, because it is in excellent mechanical shape and I haven't had any problems with it in the intervening years. At the time I bought it, the only things that I noticed were a new OEM resprayed front bumper cover, and a missing transmission brace (the dogbone) which i replaced with OEM and upgraded poly bushings. All really minor stuff, no frame damage, body panel damage, or anything. I think the insurance company was too quick to grant it a rebuilt title, but I got a great deal because of that at the time! The car is in excellent shape, and still has the new leather interior smell. I have only put 15,000 miles on it since purchase, mostly because I started manufacturing biodiesel in 2005 and primarily drove my diesel truck since I had a surplus of fuel. This car is in excellent shape. Infact, it's the lowest mileage ALMS I have seen while researching its sale. The car has been fun to drive and is super clean - literally been stored in a garage full time since 2007. I just pulled it out to take a few pictures. It has some nice upgrades listed below.

MODIFICATIONS:
• APR chip (stock, 91 octane, 93 octane)
• Carbon fiber cold air intake (Modshack)
• OSIR smoked corners
• Dieselgeek Sigma 6 speed short shifter kit
• phenolic intake spacer
• ported and gasket matched head and intake manifold
• upgraded silicone turbo outlet boost hose
• 1/2 KMAC kit on lower rear control arms
• Komfortblinker euro blinker mod
• Euro spec non-stickered sun visors (ordered from UK)
• polyurethane front lower A-arm bushings
• Optima 34R red top battery (2012)
• polyurethane front A-arm bushing
• updated thermostat
• ECS magnetic drain plug
• Front headlight washers removed (previous FMIC install)
• Monster mats

I also have a APR FMIC kit for it here: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...ost-hoses-FMIC

A Koni adjustable coilover kit (1150-5057) for it here: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...-kit-1150-5057

And a Stratmosphere armrest and cupholder kit here: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...5#post84789715

RECENT MAINTENANCE:
• ECS tuning ultimate timing belt kit new in box, waiting to be installed
• Instrument cluster replaced under warranty
• new OEM Audi radio installed 2005
• oil always changed with full synthetic Mobil 0W-40 (absolutely no signs of the classic 1.8T oil sludge problem)
• brakes flushed with DOT 4 fluid last week
• brand new ceramic brake pads installed last week (turned all 4 rotors)

NEGATIVES:
Not really much. A small, professionally repaired shopping cart scratch on the drivers side, cannot be seen unless absolutely looking for it. Steering angle sensor CEL, but I am having an alignment soon and will reset the CEL with VAGCOM. Drivers side door window regulator is broken, but a known problem and relatively easy fix. I was thinking about doing it, but no reason to roll down windows in the winter. That's it.

Let me know if you're interested. Been looking at local 4Runners recently, so hoping to sell the TT relatively soon. Feel free to PM me with any questions or offers. I'm more than willing to deliver anywhere in the US for the cost of fuel, a hotel room, and a flight home (Billings, MT).

I am very interested in your car. I recently lost mine to a major accident. Is the rebuilt title the same as a salvage? If so or not what has the impact been on insurance? I know some insurance companies increase the cost due to salvage. If we make a deal I may have a shipper come pick it up.

Thanks,

bump. Its an ALMS edition with 60k miles, and some decent money in upgrades, so probably a bit higher than either NADA or KBB. Carfax says rebuilt title, which doesn't affect much with the car itself. I had it throughly vetted by a third party inspector before purchase, and his conclusion was that the insurance company totaled it out for the owner's benefit rather than any actual damage. $10k is right in the ballpark, rebuilt title really has meant nothing during the ownership of this car. Has been simple to insure and register, etc. The car still runs fantastic and I wouldn't be selling it unless I needed a larger vehicle.

KBB value, ALMS edition (good to excellent) $13.5k -$14.1K:
NADA value (they dont have an ALMS option in the search engine, so lower) $9k - $12k:
