Default Best place to buy vintage audis?

Where is the best place to find these vintage cars. I would like to pick one up for a project, but don't really know where to start looking. I have googled basically everything I can think of, but to no avail. Thanks.

I have owned a good # of neat vintage Audis over the past 20 years. Those that I have now (see my sig. pic) are keepers. With 6+ cars there really isn't room for more, but I still constantly troll the web just in case. Before the web it was local and national used car newspapers/books.

I see something semi-interesting come up every month or two. Are you looking for a cheap project or something nice?

For example I know of an amazingly original '84 4KSQ for sale in PA....and a basket case (completely disassembled) nearly complete 1973 100 Coupe' S for sale in MD. There are others.

Well, you are a month too late. That car made the rounds a few times and ending up selling for just $1200 (on eBay) a month ago. The seller desperately needed the garage space back.

I had to chuckle when I read my previous (2013) post about seeing something interesting come up for sale nearly every month. Just 5 years later I see an interesting 1970s or 80s Audi come up for sale once or twice each year. My former (of 18+ years) 100LS was traded in last summer and sold three times after that, eventually bringing $17,500 on Bring-A-Trailer. That was highly unusual, though. Keep your eyes open and you should still be able to find a Fox or 100LS...they are still very much under-appreciated.
