New to Vintage Audi... Looking for a NSU TT (or TTS) on the east coast
I have been thinking this project through for the last couple months and have decided on doing a TT (over a type 3 notch), Anyone have any good resources for locating a decent (but not perfect) base car for a project? Not looking for a restored car, or even one of those rare perfect garage kept finds, just something I can work on and get built into a fun little vintage pocket racer. I have been watching the everyday resources (ebay, craiglist, autotrader, etc) but am getting a little more serious in the hunt. the post below with the west caost link has me inspired to see if anyone has any good info or leads somewhere on the east.....
thanks in advance...

Chances are you won't find a TTS....
IIRC the real TTS's are very rare, and pretty much everybody who has one, knows what it is won't let it go for a song.
You should contact the NSU Enthusiasts USA and ask them for notification of a TT that would be a good candidate for making into a race car - I'm sure thay have a Yahoo group, but their web site is at:

NSU Enthusiasts USA

since my goal is a fun track car, I would be okay with a standard TT, I might be even okay
with a standard 1000 as I learn more of the differences in the bodies. I don't plan on being 100% historically accurate or even meeting specific vintage class specs. Just something I can take out on open track days and have fun with...
A local collector/racer has an Alfa Giulia GT (exactly like the pics below just different livery on it) and it is my goal to build something as fun to go out an run open days with him...
also, your link is broken... is there a new one?
