Which 18" winter tire for the Q5?
Planning to pick up 18" rims for winter for the wife's Q5. As for tires, I was dead set on getting Nokian Hakka R2 SUV (235/60/18), until I read about all the uniformity issues that result in hwy speed vibrations. People end up going through several replacement tires before they get it right. Not sure I want to deal with this.
So, what other non-studded winter tire should I consider? The vehicle will be operated mainly in western Michigan where we get quite a bit of snow due to lake effect. Thanks! |

Thanks. Xi3 is not available in that size, so that leaves the DMV1 which I can't find much about in terms of tests/reviews. Has TR tested this tire?

Try out Michelin Latitude Xice Xi3 as mentioned above. they are the best

Yes, we've had very good experience and feedback with the DMV1. I've been running that exact winter tires on our family vehicle for the past three seasons.
