245/45/18 on Audi A4?
Hi guys! I'm new to this forum.
I'm going to replace the worn out tires (GoodYear Eagle F1 asymmetric 2, 245/40/18) on my Audi A4 B8.5, It's the original size for my car. I will buy the new Eagle F1 asymmetric 3.
They have served me well and I like them very very much. The only downside is that the speedometer shows 3,5-4 km/h too much according to GPS, and I guess Audi have done this by purpose for some reason..
Anyway, this disturbs me because I don't have this speed error in my other cars and it looks like I could fit larger tyres on my car and I think it will actually look better.
Is there anyone here who knows if 245/45/18 on a 8x18 ET39 rim will fit on the A4 B8.5 (sport chassis)? If I use this size the speedometer will be spot on! Would I notice any difference regarding comfort/handling?

The load and speed index on the old 245/40/18 tyres is 93Y and the 245/45/18 is 100Y, if this makes any difference in terms of comfort? I don't really need 100 load rating.
