A6 (C5) wheel size recommendation?
#2
I have been running with 18x8 for some years now. It improved the drive and looks great. Specially if you have the car on a sport suspension, a little lowered from the stock setup. I have an offset of 32 mm, which also provide a slighly wider track which I think is why it made such a significant difference.
Note that the larger rims, may mean that your shocks are to soft and need replacement.

Here are 4 pictures I took today. The car is a 2.7T MT from 2001. I use the Koni FSD shocks and Eibach sport springs, and it really goes well with this car. It feels quite sporty, but still comfortable.

Awesome! Thanks for the visual reference, Johnbach; 18x8 definitely fits the wheel well better. What size tires did you use?
