Anyone here track both SO3's and PS2's?
What were your impressions? Were the PS2's really better? Which do you prefer? I need to pull the trigger on either two SO3's or four PS2's for a pending track event. Can't decide. Money isn't an issue at the moment, however I'm not ready to run RA1's or DOT track tires just yet. TIA.

Take a look at the Falken Azenis Sport tires or BF Goodrich KD
If these tires are just for tracking.
Not sure what size you're running, but it's worth checking to see if the new Falken Azenis RT-615 is available yet or will be available in time.

About 2000 miles on SO3's, and 500 miles on PS2's
Cornering, steering response, and braking are very very similar. If the PS2 is better, it's not by much.
The biggest difference is that the PS2 seems to be more difficult to overheat. The S8 doesn't have enough tire, and if I'm pushing hard, the tread overheats (I've hit 240 oF) and gets greasy. Under these conditions, the PS2 holds up noticeably better. I haven't seen melted rubber curling up on the edge of grooves with the PS2.
