Anyone run 205/50/17?

I'm considering running 205/50/17 on a 17x7 in wheel. It is almost exactly the same as the stock rolling diameter, with 225/45/17 being just a bit closer.

Anyone running this size? Comments?

Nope, I'm trying to decide if I could run much cheaper 205's on a 17x7 rim for my summer wheel/tire package. Winters are 205/55/16 blizzak MZ01. Keep the stock width & traction should be fine I think.

I am thinking about your stilauto SR500 in 17x7, and a 205/50/17 fits it. Just trying to save some money and wondering what the drawbacks of 205/50 are vs. 225/45.

What do you think, Max?

Well, the overall outer diameter is about the same so no problem there...

The drawback would be that the contact patch will obviously be reduced by approx 25mm. If you are looking or optimum performance go all the way to 225's.

On the other hand, you will only save a few bucks... the price difference is not that big.
