Why, do you have any information that they are not safe?
I have been looking at some of the other forums and people have been using them without problems...

Well - if you do be sure to use a wheel that properly fits the hub-centric hub at least. I just don't see the point in using them when all you have to do is search the web (or ask anyone who's been around a while) for info that they often create vibration issues and such.
It's not that they are "sure to be" unsafe or anything... just doesn't seem worth it to me. Personally i have seen them work "OK" (not on an Audi though) but they never seem to run completely smooth for what ever reason. In theory they should work - but in reality they don't.
Same thing with the old uni-lug wheels with the slotted holes - when new they are so-so, but when worn at all they turn bad.
