Audie TT tyre noise.
First trip in new Audie TT 2.0T I find the tyre noise at 140k/hr on newly resurfaced roads is excessive. Smooth roads ok. Tyres are 17" Potenza RE050. Anyone else had the same problem? It is bad enough to make conversation difficult and mobile phone calls impossible.

Did you check the tires rating on Tire Rack for noise?
It's not great - you want a tire with a 8 or greater

What I meant was - to verify that the tyres are the factor and not something else
Several of OEM Audi tyres have had this issue. My Goodyear tyres on my wifes RX300 were terrible with road noise - the replacement Michelin's were much better.
