Default Can a car that has 17' rims take 19' rmus

My 2009 A4 3.2L Prem Plus has 17" wheels and currently has 245/45 R17 tires and rims. I have a chance to buy high-end 255/35 R19 tires and rims. Will they fit/work or do I just have to take them over & try them? I've had conflicting answers. Thanks

255/35R19 is the best size to fit (tires would need to be XL or Reinforced), and the wheel should be around ET 35 to ET45 for a safe fit. I'd always encourage a test fit before committing !
