Default comfort upgrading to 17 inchers.

I would like some different opinions on how the comfort changes when going to 225/40R17's from sport package wheels/tires? I realize that it creates a stiffer ride.
I have 225/45/17s... which is the more popular upgrade size.
I had RE71's on and although they handled great, they were loud and crashy. W.**** bought a set of Toyo Proxes T1s and really like them- I bought a set as well.
Handles great, and as smooth as the contis 16" I had as stock.

How do Potenza S-O1's compare withToyo Proxes T1's as far as noise goes?

Default You mean S-02s...

Don't know about the Proxies but the S-02 pole positions (mine are 225/45/17) are awesome and they make less noise than my 70% worn stock Goodyear RSA 201/55/16s. I highly recommend them. Day to day driving? No problem.

I just put 17" A!AvantGarde Design S wheels (17x8) with Pirelli P7000SS...
not to bad...ride is about the same (sport suspension)...but I like the ride better...more feel for the road...although it's slightly (hardly noticeble) stiffer...
