I'm open to other tires as well if anyone has other suggestions. Currently planning on purchasing from TireRack.

I have a 2005 Audi allroad 4.2. Truth be told this car will never see a track. It sees road trips more than anything, and then increased gas mileage would be a plus. It also sees a fair amount of city driving. Lots of rain (Seattle.)

We care about ride comfort. It's a family car. I have winter tires, so snow traction isn't important. My current non-winter tires are Michelin HX MXM4 (245/45R18.)

The Scorpion Verde All Season tires seem interesting. The size will probably be 255/40R19. I wish there were more 265/40R19 options.

The overall weight of the setup should drop 6-9lbs per wheel (5lbs per wheel, 1-3lbs per tire.)

I have the Conti DWS on my Q5 (ok my wifes Q5). With the 20" rims and 255 width the tire was just OK in snow and ice. The car felt squirmy on them and after one winter I have gone with 19" rims and snow tires to get the footprint narrower. But I love those tires for the three other seasons.
So if you plan to use these all season in snow conditions look at getting a set of snow wheels and tires as the Contis are rated one of the best on TR

Yeah, I've read through the reviews and tests on tirerack. The tricky thing is that, for example, the Pirelli Scorpion Verde were tested on a SUV so the results I can't compare to the other tires.

I have dedicated snow tires/wheels right now, so I'm not worried about snow.

Those are the tires that came on my Q5 and if I had known that I would not have preordered the DWS. I have them sitting in the basement and will replace the DWS when they are worn

The Yokohama S drive and Contintental DW are both summer performance tires that concentrate more on handling, steering response and grip.

If ride quality and wear are more of a priority you may want to stick with an all-season tire like the Conti DWS or Bridgestone RE970A/S.
