Not only did the installer ask to see my car manual to find out what the recommended bolt torque is for my Audi, but he also asked for the recommended tire pressure suggested by Audi (the label on the inside of the pasenger door).

Not that I'm complaining, I never had anyone ask for that info before.

There is not a person in the world that can know the correct torque specs and tire pressure for every car on the market. He could have not asked and just treated it like any other Honda or Acura that comes into the shop. Then after your lug bots fell off from not enough torque you would have complained about how he didn't even bother to check what the right specs were.

Hence, I am very happy that he asked. That's why I brought it up.

Each shop should have those specs handy. - no reason to check onwers manuals.
