Default Increasing air pressure to adjust for higher load rating?

I read something the other day that I had never heard of...it was suggested that if you put on a tire with a higher load rating (e.g. 97 vs. 94), you must increase the air pressure of your tires from that which the vehicle manufacturer recommends at the stock load rating. Is this the case? Is there a conversion? I ask this assuming the same tire size, just a higher load rating.
