Hello all! I just joined here. Looking into purchasing Q5. Can anyone please link me to instructions or preferably a video that takes one thru step by step process of changing out a spare tire using that stupid *** inflatable spare. Ive searched high and low and can only find people in garages using a conventional compressor. I think they only like watching the tire pop because these vids have no instructional value. As much of an issue this has been, you would think audi would have a video on this. Obviously they know how bad the system is and don't want to promote the fact the system is a failure for those that need to change the tire and don't work in their R&D dept.

An inflator comes with the car that plugs into a 12V outlet. Inflate the spare and change it like any other tire.

The best source of information on the step by step processing on changing a flat tire using the collapsible spare tire and air compressor is the Owners Manual for the Q5 of interest.

1. Do a Google search for the VIN number of any Audi Q5. Search for one that belongs to the generation of Q5's you want to buy.
2. Go to the Audi North America Owners Manual website (Audi Online Owner's Manual) and plug in the VIN number you found online.
3. Retrieve and open the Owners Manual and turn to the section where it talks about the "Vehicle Jack, Vehicle Tool Kit, and the Collapsible Spare Tire".
4. And, while you're at it, you may want to read up on how to work the controls and familarize yourself on the features of the Q5.

There's nothing really complicated about the use of the collapsible spare tire and the air compressor. All you need is to know is in the Owners Manual.

Thanks but we don't have the car, ergo no VIN to enter or manual to look at. Im going to ask in detail when we go looking today.

You do not need the VIN of the specific car you are interested in. Just do a Google search on the internet for the VIN of any Q5. Use that to access the online manual.
