Looking for new tires
After 35k miles my original Dunlop SP8000E are just about gone. I'm trying to find some inexpensive high performance tires to replace them with. Dry traction and noise are my chief concerns. Being in the high desert of Southern California, it almost never snows, and rain is rare. I was looking at the Yokohama AVS-ES100 and Continental Contisport Contact 2. Any suggestions?

The Conti-2 is the choice of the two.
A step below the KD/03 series, but definitely better than the es100.

Re: The Conti-2 is the choice of the two.
IS the difference in performance worth the difference in price?

That is up to you...
The Tire Rack has them on sale I believe, and you can get takeoffs from brand new audis, bmw, and mercedes.
