Default Need all around good tire (read All-season) for east coast...

My parents need a 205/65 R15 tire for their Lexus, and it needs to lean more towards wet traction and snow performance just in case.

So, far it seems from the TireRack's site that the Continental Conti-Sport is the choice, but any personal experiences and opinions from Luke/Eddie are welcome.

I want to be able to order today, so post away!

Default Used Goodyear RS-As for six years ... Good snow, wet performance.

The tires came standard on my '96 A4. When it came time to buy a new set of tires, I stuck with the RS-As for two reasons:

On one rainy day, another driver suddenly pulled in front of me, causing me to make a panic stop to avoid hitting him. Even though the roads were wet, my car stopped on a dime! I thought to myself, "Thank you, Goodyear!"

Another day as I was leaving work, I walked across my company's parking lot in knee-deep snow, thinking, "I'm never gonna get out of here." Other employees were busy shoveling out each others' cars, while three other co-workers were behind one car, trying to push it out. I started up my car, put it in gear, and drove out like I had tank treads on my car. Not one bit of wheel slippage! I was amazed.

Now I know that quattro played a big part in the snow scenario, but the tires must've helped somewhat as well.

By the way, I live in Mass., and we sometimes get tons of snow.

Dont...not too bad in the dry, invest in a coffin before using them in the winter.

Default Re: All-season

Fora Lexus it will depend upon if you want a more ride-based touring tire, or more of a high performance & handling type tire.

For ride: Bridgestone Turanza H Revos
For a bit more handling- Dunlop Sp5000s

Both will offer the best attributes of their respective classes.

Give me a call to discuss & then place your order!

Thanks!
Eddie
