other than mounting them, is there a way to tell if a up size tire will rub..

Default other than mounting them, is there a way to tell if a up size tire will rub..
the car is a 97 A6 and the current tire size is 205/55-16. I was considering going to 225/50-16
but I'm concerned about them rubbing..
I'm not buying the tires from a retail store so I really need to find out before I have them mounted so I don't have to eat a set of tires

Default I would check the forum for your car and see what others have done
just do a search on the tire size and the A6 form
