To shave tires or not ?
I am getting Toyo Proxes RA-1's to use for the track. From what I've read, there are two reasons to shave the tread down to ~6/32nds (8/32nds is new tread depth).
1)Better grip
2)Keeps from building up too much heat which can lead to chunking.
Am I correct in assuming that if shaving prevents chunking then a shaved tire will last longer?
Has anyone run unshaven RA1's on the track and experienced chunking?
