someone explain to me what it means to get rims re-drilled???
 
i have a set of hamanns off a 3-series collecting dust and wondering if they can be 'fixed' to fit the S. thanks for any info.

basically having the holes 'redrilled' to match a different bolt pattern on another car.

Yes, Todd @ AWE had Hammans re-drilled and installed on his A4 for quite a while

Some of the smaller wheel shops
 
offer this service. Basically involves filling up the old holes, and redrilling newer holes to change the bolt pattern. BMW rims can be slightly modified to fit the A4 for example. Wheel Power I believes offers this service on their Hamanns, though you probably have to buy from them. Check with your local tire/rim shop.
